The Committee on Construction, Urban Development and Housing and Communal Services and Regional Policy recommends the Parliament to adopt revised draft of the Housing Code of Ukraine in the second reading. According to information bill number 2307-D is proposed to resolve the issue of ensuring the rights of citizens to housing, housing management, its maintenance and preservation, legal persons and entities, public authorities, local self-government in the housing sector.
According to the deputy head of the committee Valery Baranov, during the preparation of new draft Code had been fully taken into account 300 comments and suggestions, 25 - part 62 - rejected by 144 and made editorial changes.
The bill specifies that the right to free housing in use on a rental basis of their state or municipal housing funds are citizens requiring social protection, and other categories of citizens as defined by the Code and other laws.
Earlier it was reported that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Nov. 6, 2009 supported the first reading of a draft of the Housing Code of Ukraine.
As previously reported, the Committee on Construction, Urban Development and Housing and regional policy in early July, has already recommended that the Verkhovna Rada to adopt on second reading and the whole project of the Housing Code.
