Ukraine is interested in studying the experience of Singapore in the construction of social housing. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych told journalists during a visit to the Centre building and development of affordable housing "Toa Payot Town", the press service of the State. Viktor Yanukovych noted that the positive outcome of this program in Singapore was made possible through the fruitful cooperation of the Government, the Council of the construction and development of affordable housing and full compliance with current legislation in the country, says RBC.
The President also noted that the policy of housing for residents who spends Singapore is attractive to any state. Viktor Yanukovych has called the experience of interest and importance for Ukraine.
"In Ukraine there is a big problem with housing, and especially - vulnerable citizens. Therefore, we hope that our experts will examine in detail the experience of Singapore in this area and the possibility of its introduction in Ukraine ", - said Victor Yanukovych.
"We dream to achieve a level of housing people in Singapore", - stressed the head of state.
In addition, the President spoke to the leadership of the Council building and the development of affordable housing, looked at the video presentation on the activities of the Council. The President also inspected the apartment demonstration center.
As informed of Viktor Yanukovych, the Council of the construction and development of affordable housing is a government agency. Today in Singapore, 82% of people live in public housing. More than 90% of them already own premises, which gave them a country.
As explained during the presentation, this has been achieved through long-term lending program of citizens and with the full cooperation of the state housing.
