Volume of construction works in Ukraine in January-October 2010 decreased by 9% over the same period of 2009 to 31.852 billion USD, whereas in January-September decline was 12.6% over the same period last year. This was reported by the State Statistics Committee. According to Goskomstat, in January-October 2010 reduced the amount of work in all major types of construction, except for the preparation of land, where the increase was 0.3% (1.627 billion USD). The smallest decline in stroyrabot was recorded in the construction of buildings and structures - 8,9% (26.93 billion USD). Reduction of the executed stroyrabot in completion was 16.4% (156.8 mln).
To work on new construction, reconstruction and technical re-equipment, as reported by the committee, had 78,2% of the national amount, on capital repairs - 14,6%, routine repairs - 7,2%.
As noted in a report to the SSC, the decline in construction for 10 months of 2010 was observed in all regions except the Dnipropetrovsk (growth 5,8%), Donetsk (9,3%), Zaporizhzhya (10,7%), Mykolaiv ( 27%) and Poltava (12.2%) regions.
The greatest reduction in stroyrabot recorded in the Chernivtsi and Transcarpathian region - by 48.5% and 43.3% respectively.
In addition, according to the committee, enterprise Kiev, which accounted for 24.2% of the total performed in Ukraine stroyrabot, in January-October 2010 reduced the amount of stroyrabot by 7,9% - to 7.721 bln (Jan-Sept- 2010 - reduction of 12,4%), whereas the decrease in January-October 2009 was 59.2% over the same period of 2008
