Property News | Mortgage arrears in Ukraine in 2010 decreased by 17% Public debt on mortgage loans in 2010 decreased by almost 17%, to 110.73 bln. This was reported by the National Bank of Ukraine. According to National Bank, the volume of mortgage loans granted by banks to the population of Ukraine in 2010 decreased by 16,6%, to 110.73 bln.

In the currency in which mortgage loans, most reduced the volume of loans in euros - 26%. In the overall structure of the share of loans in local accounts 16.4% for the year it rose to 15,5%. Part of the mortgage loans in dollars declined from 80,2% to 79,3%.

As reported by the National Bank, the total indebtedness of the population on all loans in 2010 decreased by 13,1%, to 209.54 bln. The only form of loans, the amount by which increased over the past year, have become consumer loans in local currency. Payable on them increased by 0.55% to 52.48 bln.
