The Council of Ministers of the ARC held its first meeting of a working group to develop proposals for the project development of the western region of Crimea. The task group is conducting a comprehensive analysis of the land in the region, preparation of proposals for priority development areas and charting its planning, as well as the development of the concept of development. As a result, until September 1, 2011 should be drafted State program of development of the Western region of Crimea. The purpose of it - to create conditions for the continued development of the region as a competitive year-round resort and tourist center of international importance.
At the meeting it was noted that long-term absence of systematic approaches to the systematic development of resorts of Crimea, has led to an overload of the entire infrastructure of the South Coast. In turn, this adversely affected the ecology of the region, reducing the right mix of price and quality of services, and as a result - the formation of the negative image of the resort.
Meanwhile, Western Crimea in its recreational potential is not inferior to the south coast. It has unique curative mud deposits and mineral springs, natural beaches, which can serve as a basis for creating year-round health resort.
But now the territory of the West Coast is a disorganized, underdevelopment of a region without the presence of normal infrastructure and communications.
Council of Ministers of Crimea adopted a resolution on the development of western region of Crimea. Monitoring its implementation is entrusted to the Vice-Chairman Council of Ministers of Crimea - resorts and tourism minister George Psareva.
