The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine abolished from January 1, 2019 the need to develop and agree on a historical and urban substantiation of the developers with the cultural heritage protection authorities in the construction of cultural monuments in the territory. According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the relevant decision "On Amendments to the Procedure for Determining Borders and Regimes for Using Historical Areals of Populated Areas, Restricting Economic Activity on the Territory of Historic Areals of Populated Areas" was adopted at a government meeting.
"The need to develop a historical and urban substantiation (IHO) in those historically populated areas where historical and architectural plans have been approved has been canceled." On January 1, 2019, the institute of IGO is being completely eliminated, "the report said.
As it indicates, the decision of the Cabinet abolishes this obligation and requires only the compliance of project documentation with historical and architectural reference plans.
