State Mortgage Institution (SMI) after the resumption of active mortgage loan refinancing July 1 this year refinanced 81 loans issued by bank partners for people buying apartments, totaling about 22 million USD, said in a news release from the institution.
The Office notes the increase in demand for mortgages as lower real estate prices, and favorable conditions of the partner banks. Loans for purchase of housing with support provided by the SMI population within 30 years at a rate of up to 15% annual in grivna, and an initial payment in the amount of 25%.
For reference, the SMI from July 1, 2011 renewed the refinancing of mortgage loans on the secondary market at a rate of 11% in local currency. Thus institutions are funded through developers' partner banks for completion of residential properties and refinancing of mortgages of the population in the primary and secondary housing markets.
