Registration apartments in BTI before building a house to avoid double housing sales

Ukrainian Construction Association (UCA) proposes to introduce at the legislative level, pre-registration of apartments prior to construction of houses in the Bureau of Technical Inventory (BTI) to avoid further possible illegal double housing sales, the head of UBA Lion Partskhaladze.

"Members of the UBA advocate the introduction of provisional registration of apartments prior to issuing a warrant in order to avoid double sales" - he said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine "in Kyiv on Thursday.

L. Partskhaladze hoped that this provision will be included in the draft law "On regulation of urban development."

As reported, the Ukrainian government on Nov. 29 approved a draft law "On regulation of urban development activities, aimed at reducing the time required for permitting procedures in the construction of up to 60 days to 416 and reducing the number of steps an investor to obtain building permits to 23 from 93.
