Prices for apartments in the Czech Republic are growing
According to the Czech Statistical Office, in the first quarter of 2019, the cost of housing in the secondary market of the country grew by almost 11% compared with the same period last year, reports Radio Praha. In the near future, the situation should change - prices should slow their movement upwards, or remain completely unchanged. By April of this year, the volume of transactions related to the purchase of apartments, declined by 11%, activity in the mortgage market - by 17%. The most serious slowdown in lending is felt in Prague - a fall in activity of 25%.
Taking into account such a jump in prices, the average Czech citizen can no longer afford to buy an apartment in the capital: prices are rising faster than wages. To become the owner of 70-meter apartments in Prague, you need to work for 15 years.
