89% of the inhabitants of the occupied territories of Donbass not want to leave their place of residence, only 6% of respondents would like to leave but can not be a number of reasons. This was stated by Director General of the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS), Natalia Kharchenko during the round table "Humanitarian map of Donbass: the needs of local residents and displaced persons", initiated by the Humanitarian Staff Rinat Akhmetov.
According to her, sociologists expected in March, a new wave of migration, but this is not happening.
"Of the total number of respondents who plan to leave the occupied city, other areas of Ukraine went to 42%, in Russia - 30%," - said Kharchenko.
According to researcher KIIS Darya Pirogov most residents do not want and do not have any plans for the departure.
"Even those settlers who moved to other cities, waiting for the moment when it will be possible to go back to Donetsk, Gorlovka, in his hometown. For those few who want to leave, there is a problem with the lack of money, a place where you can go and disagreement parents that the child went, "- said Pirogov.
Humanitarian card situation and needs of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions was developed by order of Humanitarian Staff Rinat Akhmetov. At the core of the card - data from survey KIIS conducted in March 2015. A key aspect of the new study - evaluation of the needs of residents in the dynamics of Donbass (previous studies were carried out in September, October, November and December 2014), as well as the needs of displaced persons inside the Donbass.
In surveys conducted from October 2014 to March 2015, examined the current needs of the population for food, medicines and non-food items, the situation with the work of medical and educational facilities, communications.
