Innovation Project Inside Out has been designed Dutch architectural studio Studio Marco Vermeulen in the contest for the best offer for the construction of a small town located along a highway near Moscow (Russia).
Small town, occupying an area of 39 thousand square meters, designed for a population of about 150 thousand people. The whole structure, as a starting point which was taken as the usual standard module contains delineation of private, communal and public spaces. By "twisting" one side of the structure, the sponsors were comfortable complex, which includes an indoor garden with an exit outside, private and public space, comfortable entrance for pedestrians and entry to vehicular traffic, and infrastructure, which implies a cafe and a small theater.
The public space of the residential complex form retail area, offices and recreational centers. 9 elevators provide direct access to the apartments, which, thanks to the continuous glazing facades receive the maximum amount of sunlight during the day. By this expedient planning project authors approached by placing the lobby, which are concentrated out of the flat, only the fourth and ninth floors.
Most apartments are interpretations of the three major types and range in size from 50 to 125-Tee square meters. Unusual turn structure entails the formation of new non-standard elements, adding to the area of the attic apartments and spacious terraces.
